This family-friendly true-log home is firmly rooted to the ground and does not hang out in space on stilts or have decks with 50' drop-offs. This level has been made by child-friendly with the addition of a removable stairway gate and door latches placed high out of reach. This level has a bedroom with queen sized bed, a bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds (4 beds total) and an enormous closet that houses children's toys & books. The main level is where the family gathers. You'll be mesmerized by the towering great room, featuring logs of Paul's own immense proportion, and a multi-layered view of mountain ranges through a wall of glass. Your family can gather around the fireplace and watch satellite TV or DVDs on the 50" flat-panel TV with DVR.... or plug in your IPhone/IPod and listen to your favorite music. Not only does this cabin sleep 14 easily, but it also seats 14+ for dinner at the huge banquet table, or outside on the deck when you want to cook on the gas grill. This level features a great kitchen with quartz counters and stainless appliances, a large bedroom suite with king bed, flat-panel TV/DVD/Satellite, whirlpool tub, walk-in shower and walk-in closet. The Top level is Paul's own secret hideaway. This level features another great bedroom suite with an over-sized log king bed, flat-panel TV/DVD/Satellite, whirlpool tub, walk-in shower and walk-in closet. Best of all, it features its own private balcony which faces North into yet another mountain range. Finally, the community of Shagbark is a gated enclave with 24 hour guard, pool, tennis courts and more. It is close enough to Dollywood and the Parkway to be convenient, and just far enough away to feel like you are 'in the mountains'.
